But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within. Purple lines are tunnel routes and orange lines are surface routes. ![]() Metro: Last Light was announced at E3 2011 to appear on the upcoming Nintendo console, the Wii-U, however, one year later at E3 2012 it was confirmed that the Wii-U would not be seeing Metro: Last Light.Īrtyom's approximate journey in Metro: Last Light, starting at D-6 and heading north east. ![]() The game was released on May 14th, 2013, on Xbox 360, PC through Steam and, unlike Metro 2033, on the PS3. With this new installment, 4A has introduced a multitude of new weapons, such as the bolt-action rifle, a single-shot pistol, a hand-powered chain gun, as well as new locations to play in. In this setting, Artyom's allies: Khan and the other Rangers, join forces once again to defend D6 from many foes including the Fourth Reich, communists, and bandits. The story continues on from the canonical ending of the previous game, in which Artyom destroyed the mysterious new mutant threat, the Dark Ones. The story takes place after Metro 2033, with a new story guided by Dmitry Glukhovsky but written in-house at 4A Games. I not had any trouble on any other game regarding this. Windowed mode I don't really enjoy using for games like this. It looks like this is also happening with Last Light.ĭoes anyone know any solutions to this besides attempting what I already tried with the user.cfg and read only? That seems to be the only thing I could find online. I made sure I only had one version installed so it wouldnt get confused there. I also like to add I tried using both the GOG and Steam versions of this, I don't remember having this problem in the past and certainly didn't on the original Metro 2033. With read only on it doesnt change what the file says but it ignores what the resolution is set to. Without read-only the one in C:\Users\-username-\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033 gets changed by the game to what the game's resolution is at. Tried with every single user.cfg (they all now say the same thing). So basically, I can't change the game resolution to 1920 x 1080 on fullscreen. Something to note, the ingame settings still show 1680 x 1050 despite the windowed one being in 1920 x 1080. Doesn't look like theres a borderless option. However that means I get the taskbar appearing at the bottom along with the desktop if I change the resolution. ![]() I have found one fix for this so far, if I change fullscreen to off in user.cfg so its windowed, this works. I made sure to double check that the user.cfg files were read-only. However whenever I launch the game it still doesnt go to this resolution (I have confirmed using some recording software). I have gone in the user and changed the resolution so it looks like the below. ![]() I tried googling around and found some things to try such as editing the user.cfg, I understand there are multiple ones. Ingame the max the resolution will go to is 1680 x 1050. However I've started having an issue with the resolution not going to my native resolution of 1920 x 1080. I recently wanted to go back to Metro as I love this series nearly as much as the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ![]()
